About Herrick Aviation

Ben Herrick founded Herrick Aviation in 2020 with one goal: to draw more people into Aviation. Whether that be through aerial photography and videography, general aviation, or commercial aviation, Herrick Aviation is here to get more people interested in what it’s like to view the world from the air.

Ben had an interest in aviation his whole life. As a kid, he was active with his family in their local EAA chapter, attended Oshkosh AirVenture, and participated in other aviation events and programs. After an “aviation hiatus” during college, Ben rekindled his love for aviation and began taking lessons towards his Private Pilot Certificate, and also got his Remote Pilot Certificate. That is when Ben decided to start working in aviation, and how Herrick Aviation began.

Originally a means of selling drone photography and videography and performing drone services locally, Herrick Aviation has now expanded into the world of general aviation and instruction. Ben is a certified Instrument Ground Instructor and is nearing completing his Commercial Pilot Certificate. Soon after, Ben has his eyes set on CFI, CFII, and MEI.
